ExpressVPN Full Review – WATCH This Before You Buy it

VPN makes it so you can easily tunnel your internet connection through other countries be it for security reasons or to be able to appear as if you're elsewhere. Express VPN takes that whole process and makes it as simple as a click. Just like that, you can be tunneling through anywhere in the world.

What is ExpressVPN:

ExpressVPN works by taking your current IP address (what the network assigns you based on your location/ISP) & routes it securely through another server. With over 140+ locations you can choose from multiple countries as your origin point.

Once selected & turned on all your traffic is routed through ExpressVPN changing your IP address & location to the internet. This means you can appear as if you are in Asia, Europe, etc. Not only is this beneficial for routing around geo-restricted sites or services but also for overall safety. You can turn on Express VPN anytime you don’t want want to be tracked. All your browsing data and so on is safely tunneled so no prying eyes can monitor it.

Express VPN countries

The benefit of using an app like ExpressVPN is that while it’s possible to setup your own VPN connection this is much more cost effective & offers hundreds of locations to choose from. Whether it’s securely browsing your traffic while on public wi-fi or just using it to get access to popular streaming services such as Netflix, Spotify, and so on through routing through different countries. It takes the technical process of virtual private networks & makes it as simple as hitting the connect button to protect your privacy & be browsing the web anonymously.

My Experience with Express VPN

I’ve personally tested various VPN services & Express definitely passes on multiple fronts. The UI is simple & straight to the point while still offering under the hood features for advanced users. Compared to many other services Express went above and beyond offering over 145+ locations in major countries such as Asia & Europe which are useful when it comes to accessing geo-restricted content.

On the stateside front as well they have multiple servers to choose from. A nice touch is the speed test feature which allows you to find the fastest servers based on your location if download/upload speed is your concern. Overall it makes VPN accessible for the everyday user.

My Personal Thought about the Software

Express VPN packs multiple features from the multiple server locations, AES 256-bit encryption, and various VPN protocols depending on your needs.

The great thing about ExpressVPN is it comes in it at a reasonable price point and various tiers. Starting at $13 a month or $8.32 on the annual plan. While it's a bit more expensive than other VPN providers there is no limits or caps on the data you use.

Ease of Use

In terms of straight simplicity Express VPN takes the cake. Outside of the options of choosing servers or settings you can literally click the connect button & have it route you to the most efficient VPN within seconds.

What Others are Saying

ExpressVPN has the basics: multidevice support, lots of servers, a solid number of servers with a good geographic distribution, BitTorrent support, and a slick interface. But it's expensive, and it doesn't offer nearly as many simultaneous connections as more affordable VPN services. It's very good, but Editors' Choice winners KeepSolid VPN Unlimited, NordVPN, Private Internet Access, and PureVPN have better all-around offerings at lower prices. – PCMag

Verdict & Conclusion:

ExpressVPN, in the end, is a perfect mix of simplicity & technical features. Taking the task of routing & securing your internet traffic and turning into a process that requires but one click. Whether you're using it to access streaming services outside the resident country or simply protect your browsing habits ExpressVPN has you covered.

While it’s price point comes a little higher than most it offers more features in terms of servers to choose from & best of all no data limits. Some VPN providers will limit in terms of how much data you can upload/download but ExpressVPN forgoes that & just lets you focus on getting the connection you need. Simple plans, pricing, and overall simple to use vpn app.
